LATINO DIGITAL SKILLING
CENTER OF EXCELLENCE

OUR PROGRAMS

Hispanic Federation supports Latino immigrants in finding work by offering job placement services, language and cultural training, networking opportunities, mentorship programs, providing access to resources, offering legal assistance, providing education and skills development, collaborating with community organizations, and advocating for policies that promote equal employment opportunities.

These efforts can help Latino families and immigrants navigate the job market, improve their skills, connect with employers, and overcome barriers they may face in finding employment.

Hispanic Federation Latino Digital Accelerator

Hispanic Federation has partnered with Google.org and Latino nonprofits across the nation to launch a Digital Accelerator program. This initiative allows Latino led nonprofits to grow their digital programmatic offerings to support the digital skills that are in demand in the workplace today.

Latino Digital
Equity Centers

Hispanic Federation recognizes that success comes with proper skills and training. To close the Latino digital skills gap, Hispanic Federation joined forces with Comcast NBC Universal Telemundo to invest in 20 technological centers equipped with a customized digital curriculum to help develop digital skills for our national Latino workforce to be able to work in today’s digital world.

These digital career centers will be housed in Latino-led and-serving nonprofits throughout the country.

These computer labs were built in low-income communities to provide job training for those that needed it the most.  Computer labs were built in: New York, NY., Milwaukee, Wi., Forth Worth, Tx., Orlando, Fl., Durham, NC., Syracuse, NY.

New York Digital Innovation Fund

The New York digital Inclusion Fund was launched in April of 2022 as a result of a partnership between the Schmidt Futures and National Digital Inclusion Alliance. The Fund supports the New York City Latino Digital Equity Initiative, an initiative that educates the public about no-cost and affordable Broadband options.

The purpose is to increase access to broadband/internet services specifically to low-income communities and improve the technological infrastructure of community-based organizations.
